    THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!!

    The customer service is PHENOMENAL!!

    The food is PERFECT!!

The facility is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. The prices are reasonable and we would definitely recommend anyone to come and see for themselves. The restaurant is a true hidden gem, nestled in a corner to the right of Chuck E Cheese. This place gives Crustaceans a run for the money. The restaurant is owned by Nathan (Nate Dog) and Angie. They are so sweet and accommodating. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be sorry!!

I always try to base my reviews of a restaurant on what it is supposed to be.  In other words, I wouldn't compare a pizza joint to a five-star restaurant.  In the case of Live Crawfish and Seafood, I am comparing it to other similar type seafood boil restaurants.

Having said that, this is a very good take on the seafood boil concept.  The menu is simple and contains enough variety to satisfy most.  All of the regulars plus Dungeness Crab and Crawdads are readily available and there is a good range of spice options from which to choose.  The prices are reasonable considering what you are getting.  Four of us ate for under 80 dollars.

I felt that the service was attentive and the wait for the food was reasonable.  I would say that we were there when the traffic was light, so if the restaurant was full, it might be a lot slower.  The decor is nothing to cheer about, but I don't really care about that when I am devouring crustaceans!  I would agree with another post that the TVs were annoying as was the banging top 40 music.  Put the TVs on a sports channel and pipe in some Cajun music.  Also, one shouldn't have to ask for towelettes at the end of a seafood boil meal.  Overall, a solid four star experience and I would definitely return.

Three stars doesn't mean bad, but it wasn't GREAT either. Very simple, low budget decor that is appropriate for getting down to business on crab legs. Plastic, disposable tablecloth, bucket for disposing, etc.

Menu is what it is. They should actually invest in reprinting the menu, rather than all of the scratch out, arrows, etc. hard to tell what was available or not.

Ordered crab legs with a piece of corn. Was provided saucing/ seasoning options so I selected New Orleans style. Old Bay, butter, garlic mix. When they arrived, they were swimming in a very thin sauce with enough garlic to ward off every vampire around. This was actually a deterrent in the taste of the legs. I would have enjoyed them more if it weren't for so much garlic.

Speaking of swimming in sauce, I was glad to witness a to-go order. The customers packaging was leaking all over the place and she had to have it redone. Why not put the sauce separate so this wouldn't happen? I would have been pissed. There is a difference between being low budget and cheap. The food is somewhat expensive for what you get, but I did receive complimentary order of beignets. They were ok.

Service was friendly, restaurant looks like it was renovated on a tight budget but kept clean. The food is nothing special and had a funny cinnamon and apple cider smell and taste. Maybe it's because I'm used to eating the tossed seafood in a bag kind... i was surprised that there was not much flavor other than spicy. Before I got my food, I thought price was great compared to other seafood places that were sold by the LB. But when I got my food, I found it to be less than what I would usually get at other places. Our server never came back after taking out order. Nobody refilled our waters.

The serving size you get here for $39.99 is good. The shrimp aren't as large in comparison with other restaurants that I've gone to that have boils. The biggest downfall would have to be the flavoring. The sauce is liquid with a sweet taste to it. I hope that they switch to a regular seasoning combination or at least the option for one over the other. I would attempt going again to see if any changes have been made, but if not would not continue to dine. The staff was friendly but the seating is limited and small. Hoping that the owners make necessary improvements, because this place could be a gem as long as they keep the great serving sizes for the great price.
